You are here >> Empowerment Center >> Exercise Tips Make Your Exercise Videos Work For YouMany people complain about the effectiveness of exercise videos to help lose weight. Different people have experienced varying results from using exercise videos. These yo-yo results leave several wondering if purchasing exercise videos is even worth it. Anyone can experience positive, long-lasting results from using exercise videos as long as certain principles are applied to the workout process. Once you have decided that you want to start an in-home workout plan and you have purchased one or two exercise videos that you like, the next thing is to map out how much and how long you are going to work out. If you are not accustomed to working out, you might want to start small and work your way up to the big stuff. An example of a start-up workout plan would be 20 minutes a day, 3 times a week. It might not sound like much at first, but the goal at first is to start a routine. Once you are used to working out then you can increase the length and frequency of your workouts. Watch your exercise videos at a time and place where you will have the least distractions. If you know that whenever you are in the living room you are tempted to go into the kitchen, then don't work out in the living room. Choose a room that will be conducive to your workout. This is very important in the beginning because it will be easier to get distracted. Don't fall off the wagon. Keep in mind that results are not instantaneous. You may work out for a few weeks before you begin to see results. If you make a plan and stick to it, you will see results. No matter how discouraged you may get, remind yourself of your goal and keep at it. As your body begins to build resistance increase the length of your work out. You will begin to see results before you know it.
